How is air freight chargeable weight calculated?
Air freight is charged on the higher of the actual weight and the volumetric weight. Volumetric weight is length × width × height in cm, divided by 6,000.
Example: a box of 100 × 80 × 60 cm has a volumetric weight of 100 × 80 × 60 ÷ 6,000 = 80 kg. If it actually weighs 50 kg, you are charged for 80 kg.
